Dr. Bola Ofi was the past Chairman of the Governing Board,  Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, as Institute of Nursing Research, FCN South West Zone Presents Nursing Academia Summit.

Bola Ofi referred to as a ‘Born Nurse’, born into a nursing family of blessed memories of Mr. Alex Adetola Tayo, a Nurse Anaesthetist and Medical Surgical Specialist at the Old Adeoyo State Hospital where he retired as a Chief Nursing Superintendent and Mrs. Dorcas Tayo, who also retired from the Chest Hospital, Jericho.

Her career in nursing started in 1966 at the Dudhope School of Nursing, Dundee, Scotland, now known as Ninewells College of Nursing, Dundee. She had her midwifery certification from the Royal Infirmary in the year 1971. She returned to Nigeria in the year 1972. Worked as a staff nurse in University College Hospotal from 1973-1975.

She was awarded her Degree in Nursing in the year 1978.
